Julie Butler and her husband, Rod, have called Carson City “home” since 1995.  Married for nearly 34 years, the couple raised two sons who have stayed in the Carson City area and are an integral part of the couple’s lives.  The couple welcomed a daughter-in-law to the family in 2024.

Julie’s professional career includes 30 years of service working for the State of Nevada in multiple agencies and in positions of increasing responsibility.  She understands the purchasing and contracting processes, budget and legislative processes, and has been instrumental in bringing several bills forward on behalf of the agencies she has led.
